* Whatever you do: don't ever buy shoes that ere too small, because they are a shoe crime. Don't listen to salespersons telling you that the shoes will grow bigger over time: if something is painful, it will remain painful. This won't be over after a day long wedding. Well, okay, if you can find a pair of Manolos on sale, the rule doesn't apply. Those you are allowed to buy.
* If you have fallen in love with a pair of killer heels but have little to no experience in wearing (stilleto) heels, we urge you to starrt practicing soon. Our advice: start in the super market where your trolley can function as a walking aid and then extend your practice sessions further to other surfaces. When you can walk without any problem on deep-pile carpets, marble, escalators, grids and the Dam in Amsterdam in your heels, we feel you have passed your exam.
* Don't you like high heel shoes? At all? Thank god for the age of the ballerina! Still totally hip (Sienna Miller, Kate Moss and Gwyneth Paltrow love to wear them too) and also kind to your feet.
