The lineation of a dress

A-line
The A-line lives up to its name: it is shaped like the letter A. Which means: slim on top, flaring out to wide at the bottom. It could flare out from the shoulders onwards or from below the bosom. Whatever body type you have, the A-line will look flattering on practically every figure. The A-line is sublime!
Prinsess line
Don't let yourself be confused: the princess line is the same thing as the A-line. Just as great for your figure.
Empire line
The empire line flares out at the bottom, but has a higher waist thabn the A- or princess line and because of that only has a small bodice. In addition, the empire line is straighter so that you seem longer. This silhouette looks best on women with an average to large bossom and a not too visible waist.
Ball gown
The classic ball gown looks somewhat like the Alice in Wonderland dress: a tight ftting bodice and a bulging waist. Ideal for women with love handles, a fattish bum or wide hips.
Mermaid line
This fit looks somewhat like a mermaid's tail: a slim fit and all the way at the bottom (often below the knee) it flares out. The mermaid line is especially suitable for tall women that want to show off their figure.
Tight fit
If you like a classic silhouette, you are best of choosing a tight fitting wedding dress. This dress will follow the contours of your body from top to bottom. It is a very simple fit, but ideal for the bride that wants to show her fit body to the wedding guests. This lineation looks great on her.
